The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) will host its National
Information Communication Technology (ICT) Business Forum at Mulungushi
International Conference Centre (MICC) from 11th to 12th November 2013.

Business News reports that the Forum with the theme “Convergence of ICTs and business
innovation towards sustainable economic development” is an annual event.
According to the press statement made available to DigitalSENSE Business News aimed to establishing an environment where ICT
players across sectors can meet to exchange ideas and gain new knowledge
through networking.
In addition to the core theme of convergence of ICTs and innovation from
the business perspective, the forum will address the impact of Convergence of
ICTs and related innovations on the socio economic environment, strategies for
promoting ICT related innovations across all economic sectors in Zambia.
Others are ICT innovation and entrepreneurship in Zambia; the challenges
and perils of innovation: cyber security threats; promotion of young ICT
innovators, incubation programmes and ICT industrial parks - the case for
Zambia; the state of e-government in Zambia - challenges, opportunities and
strategies; and Electronic transactions – how prepared is Zambia?
