YahSat, a
satellite broadband operator is running a promotion for selected YahClick business
service plans in several African countries until December 19, this year.
The plan based
on Digital SENSE Business News findings is to offer free equipment and
reduced installation fees, charging only the monthly subscription fee and in
Nigeria where YahClick works with service partners such as Coollink and
Hyperia, the special offer results in a saving of up to N136,500.
Digital SENSE Business News recorded that YahClick business
subscription prices start from N48, 000 in Nigeria for speeds ranging from 1.5
Mbps up to 15 Mbps, while YahClick's South African business subscriptions start
at ZAR 1,985 for speeds ranging from 1 Mbps up to 15 Mbps.
The CCO
Shawkat Ahmed said that in Kenya, where YahClick's service partner is SimbaNet,
the deal means savings of up to $1,150 as YahClick business subscription prices start
from USD 157 for broadband ranging from 1 Mbps to 15 Mbps.

Project Manager at Infinity, Edson Ndanguzi said affordable satellite broadband
internet is the next step in bridging the digital divide and stressed that in
Tanzania, where YahSat collaborates with Infinity, the promotion provides a
saving of up to USD 1,166, while YahClick business subscription prices in
Tanzania start from USD 177 for a service ranging from 1 Mbps to 15 Mbps.
Digital SENSE Business News noted also that YahClick is
beamed through Yahsat's Y1B satellite, which delivers internet connectivity
through Ka-band multi-spot beams, with reusable frequencies to maximise
spectrum efficiency and will be fully operational across 28 countries
throughout the Middle East, Africa, Central and South West Asia, in partnership
with more than 30 service partners.
