Leading
financial institutions, United bank for Africa Plc (UBA) has entered into a
multimillion Naira deal with renowned system integrator, Computer Warehouse
Group Plc (CWG), for the deployment of over 450 units of the award winning CINEO
series of Wincor Nixdorf brand of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) across
Nigeria.

Business News confirms that this deal was cemented during the recent
official working visit of Wincor Nixdorf boss, Mr. Eckard Heidloff in what was described as premier visit to Africa.
The CINEO series, DigitalSENSE
Business News also confirmed, though mono-functional automated teller machines for indoor and outdoor
installations, can be upgraded to cash recycling systems. These ATMs are
improved versions of the earlier ProCash series.
These ATMs would be deployed and supported by CWG’s
certified engineers who have undergone rigorous trainingat the Wincor Nixdorf
operations centre in Paderborn, Germany.
Mr Heidloff who also used the opportunity of the visit
to tour CWG’s operational base in Lagos and also visited key customers of
Wincor Nixdorf, including United Bank for Africa in the company of Mr Austin
Okere, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Computer Warehouse Group.

Business News that his visit
created the occasion for a joint strategy that will improve cash services in
Nigeria while supporting the CBN’s cashless economy initiative.

ATMs to increase their competitive edge in the rapidly growing ATM market.
