The Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) has announced the debut
of its ever engaging competition on National ICT Policy, tagged 2013 PolicyNG’s
easy.
Confirming this to DigitalSENSE Business News, the
chief operating officer, PIN, Mrs Tope Ogundipe said that this is perfectly in line
with our vision to trigger citizenry that will see the opportunities in
objective criticism of policy documents, helping Nigerians rise above the usual
passive role.
She noted that Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) is a social
enterprise that connects Nigerian youths with ICT-enabled opportunities,
working to add huge value to Nigeria’s ICT policy space.
This institution, she further said, has consulted for several
international public and private organizations with bottom-up result oriented
approach that has led to great achievements. We are pleased to be supported by
Paradigm Initiative Nigeria in this exciting journey that will shape the
tech-writing skills of many and also enhance our culture of policy checks and
balances.
The competition, she said, would be engaging young Nigerians
aged 15 – 28 with expectations to download
and review the Nigeria’s National ICT policy within 1,200 words, making
recommendations supported by clear facts on workability or articulating,
creatively new methods with relevant scenarios.
The winnings are N50,000 (fifty thousand naira only) for the 1st and
N20, 000 (twenty thousand naira) for the runner-up.
