iCubis unveils 3D English app for kids

South Korean-based iCubis has unveiled a Third Dimension (3D) English learning application for kids.

The application called ‘Easy & Elly’ DigitalSENSE Business News gathered is an educational app that will engage children’s eyes and ears with a combination of 3D animal characters, animation and games will be released.

iCubis Incorporation says the first episode of Android based English learning app was released into the global market place by Saturday, August 31.

CEO of ICubis, Chang Wook Ki explained that ‘Easy & Elly's FRUIT’ is an English learning app with a fox called Easy and an elephant called Elly as the leading characters. Children can learn the alphabet with 7 different types of fruit by writing on the alphabet on the screen using their fingers while listening to the native speakers. By doing this, both the English education and object learning which is necessary for toddlers are possible.

The most outstanding feature this app has, he said, is the ‘Phonics’ application which makes reading and writing more effective for children. When learning English, children can easily get confused by the differences between the actual sound and the letters. Phonics is a world renowned educational method which solves this confusion.

“It also stands out that they used an elephant character. Since Disney’s ‘Dumbo’, there has been no elephant character that has been a worldwide hit,” he said. Stressing that they produced an elephant character paying attention to the fact that there have not been any representative elephant characters.

The fox character Easy, he said, is also special because it has a kind round looking face which is friendly to children and is different from most fox characters which are often portrayed as skinny.
