CommTech Minister, EVC to grace NigeriaCom'13

As the two-day NigeriaCom event kicks off, tomorrow, Tuesday in Lagos, the organisers have confirmed the participation of the honourable Minister for Communication Technology (CommTech) Mrs. Omobola Johnson.

DigitalSENSE Business News gathered that the event would also be graced by the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Eugene Juwah and other stakeholders in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.

The Conference Manager for Informa Telecoms and Media, Thandi Demannet disclosed DigitalSENSE Business News that Mrs Johnson would partake in a panel discussion to be led by Etisalat, titled "Quality of Service on the Network, Challenges and Opportunities for Telecoms Operators in Nigeria.”

Demannet also said the event would feature telecommunications operators such as MTN, Airtel, Globacom, Gicell, Starcomms, Vodacom and Visafone, alongside notable companies and organisations, including Google, Eskimi, First Bank, Spinlet, the British Broadcasting Corporation, CEON and National Association of Telecoms Subscribers,(NATCOMS).

She assured the event would meet the interest and aspirations of the entire telecoms, media and ICT community with over 700 telecommunications professionals expected to be in attendant.

 “All is set for a fantastic event. All our speakers as well as the NigeriaCom team are really excited and keen to meet up and create synergies around the telecoms and digital markets in the country,” she said.

DigitalSENSE Business News further gathered that the second NigeriaCom AppGig would feature companies such as Yookos, Google and Mobile Monday Nigeria on Wednesday, which is free for all application developer.
