As count down for the annual Africa ICT Alliance gathers momentum, some 20 speakers have been lined up for the three-day event, which commences on June 26 through 28, 2013, with the theme “Fulfilling the Promise of the Digital Age in Africa.”
President, AfICTA, Dr. Jimson
Olufuye confirmed this to DigitalSENSE Business News at the weekend, and said
that some of the speakers for the event slated to hold at Digital Bridge
Institute (DBI) Oshodi-Lagos, cut across the continent of Africa and United
States.
He also listed some of those
expected to include President of Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria
(ATCON), Mr. Lanre Ajayi, his predecessor and Managing Partner, Telecom Answers
Associates, Mr. Titi Omo-Ettu, Vice President for the Internet Corporation for
Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for Africa, Mr. Pierre Dandjinou, Ms Funke
Opeke of MainOne, Bayero Agabi of Tribe Media and Ms Marilyn Cade, President of
US-based ICT Strategies.
Also billed for the event, he said
is a delegation from South Africa, comprising Mr. Adrian Schofield, Mr. Rabelani
Dagada and R. Latchman. While others Adetola Sogbesan, 'Yemi Keri of Edo State
Government and Mr. Girma Dessalegn, the Information Network Officer at
the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
Additionally, the Network
Engineer and ICANN consultant for the African DNSSEC roadshow, Mr. Alain Patrick, even as Mr. Rick Lamb, a
team member of ICANN’s Security team with 25 years of Internet experience as
engineer, entrepreneur, and policy expert.
