JMG wins MTN’s N1.3Bn network upgrade contract


MTN Nigeria has awarded a N1.3 billion contract to JMG, an official FG Wilson Dealer in Nigeria to undertake the modernization of it mobile communications network in the country.
The contract, DigitalSENSE Business News confirmed  from MTN will see JMG deliver 12 high capacity FG Wilson generator sets at MTN switch locations in Asaba, Lagos, Kano and Ibadan.
The Chief Technical Officer, MTN Nigeria, Lynda Saint-Nwafor explained that JMG, as a leading member of Nigeria’s generator industry and with an excellent reputation in their area of competence to clients will deliver the power infrastructure upgrade to meet MTN’s expectations.
“Building on our existing relationship with JMG, this project will enable MTN to further enhance our reputation for providing a world-class cellular network across Nigeria,” Saint-Nwafor said.
JMG Managing Director, Mazen Jubaili said that the company has a proven pedigree of delivering world-class power solutions for some of the most significant projects in Nigeria and it is a strong endorsement of our work that MTN Communications entrusted it with the contract.
 “By working with FG Wilson to ensure the generator sets are delivered on time, we are confident the mobile communications power infrastructure upgrade will be successfully concluded to specification and on schedule to meet the urgent demand for increased mobile network services and quality of service in Nigeria,” Jubaili said.
