A call has been made to practicing journalists in Nigeria to retool using the Information Communication Technology (ICT) for greater results in the profession that is causing changes in all phases of life, DigitalBusiness News reports.
This advice was made by Chukwemeka Frank Agbata  Jnr ,(CFA) an  ICT columnist with Sunday Punch  at a one day ICT free/Internet Enhancement Skills for journalists held  at Emglo Suites in Lagos.
Agbata Jnr , who is also a ICT columnist with DigitalSENSE Business News said that the practising journalists should invest in tools, to help them to inform the public adequately and timely, stressing that technology is on the move so far to becoming the augmented reality with approximately 2,405,518,376 internet users and Nigeria ranking as one of the top 10 internet users.
He said it was necessary for a journalist to explore the use of the social media via twitter, website/blog, mobile/SMS marketing/ content marking, search machine optimization, search machine marketing, as all these will increase linkability in their career.
