Airtel says ‘We’re committed to Ondo State’


Telecommunications operator, Airtel Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to provide quality service to its customers across Ondo State and beyond the South West region, DigitalSENSE Business News reports.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, last weekend, gave this assurance at a dinner hosted by the company at Ruby Event Centre, Akure, Ondo State for its high-net worth customers.  

He precisely said that network coverage, quality of service, capacity building, corporate social responsibility and exceptional customer experience are the key areas of focus in the state.

Represented by the Regional Operations Director for West Region, Mr. Segun Macaulay, he said Airtel would remain competitive in a fast-changing telecommunications world and promised to keep customers ahead in terms of service delivery that makes good business, social and economic sense.

According to him, the company decided to meet with its customers in the state having recognised the dual contributive role Ondo State has played in the growth of Airtel and its strategic input in the development of the Nigerian economy.

“Ondo State is central to the operations of Airtel and in our quest to recreate a uniquely wholesome telecoms experience in line with our vision of becoming the most loved brand in the daily lives of Nigerians, we are renewing our contract with the Ondo people by empowering them to succeed in life endeavours through our innovative offerings, pocket-friendly tariffs and corporate social responsibility initiatives,” he said.

Ogunsanya further promised to deploy customers’ insights into building more robust products that will continue to give the people of Ondo state and environs the technological edge that will enable them thrive in a changing world.


He expressed delight at the gathering, saying that it will help break down the little walls, if any, as well as strengthen connections between Airtel and its esteemed customers. He also thanked the people and government of the state, particularly His Excellency, Governor Olusegun Mimiko for creating an enabling environment for Airtel to thrive.
