One of the global leading companies in antivirus technology, Symantec has recorded a growth rate of 17 per cent in 2011 with a 20.6 per cent market share of the year.
Symantec Africa Regional Director, Goldon Love revealed this at a media roundtable held recently in Lagos saying that the Gartner Estimate of global revenue and market share also rated the company the leader the security software base in 2011.
According to Love, people's mindset needs to change towards in-depth security with the right policies and procedures in place.
Other security activities that the company does engage in include cyber threat analysis, advisory service, vulnerability testing, critical infrastructure protection, and backup and disaster recovery.
The African regional director also said that the need to share, secure and manage an enormous amount of information is at the heart of every Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Every CIO, he said would also want to reduce operational cost.

... Making SENSE of digital revolution!
