The 2012 version of Honda Accord
has some features that would definitely reduce accidents on our roads.
Touring’s ingenious is one of the
new Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) which electronically monitors the distance
you keep with vehicles close to you while driving and automatically decelerates
when you get too close to the car ahead of you. ACC also automatically returns
you to your cruising speed on establishing a safe distance.
See more of the road beside you with Honda LaneWatch
A camera on the bottom of the
passenger-side mirror captures a road-side view on your Accord’s right side and
displays it on your i -MID, revealing nearly four times more of what’s beside
you than your mirror can reveal.
The display is not a substitute for
your own direct visual assessment of traffic conditions before changing lanes.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
Forward Collision Warning, another
similar feature to the LaneWatch, with a small camera mounted at the top of the
front windshield to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you. When the
FCW system calculates that you are at risk of a collision, it immediately
activates visual and/or give audible alerts.
Track your lane
With the Lane Departure Warning
(LDW) feature, driver can track lane markings on the road and get alerts when
the vehicle is moving into a different lane without signaling.
LDW only alerts drivers when lane
drift is detected without a turn signal in use.
6-Speed Automatic Transmission
The 2012 Honda Accord also has an
added sixth gear; the 6-speed automatic transmission uses the engine’s broad
torque curve for brisk acceleration, optimized fuel economy and smooth
shifting.
Of the listed special features,
weather and other affects the accuracy of the ACC, LaneWatch and that of the
Forward Collision Warning.
... Making SENSE of digital revolution!
