Swift Networks severe relations with Ecobank, warns customers

 Lagos-based Internet Service Provider (ISP), Swift Networks Limited may have severed relationship with Ecobank Nigeria.

This is coming as the company warned its customers to desist any payment through Ecobank with immediate effect.

A message sent to Swift customers via its customer care lines and electronic mails (e-mails) urged customers to take note of this development, insisting that the use of any Ecobank instrument like cheque or bank draft may not be accepted.

“Please be informed that you should immediately discontinue making payments for your SWIFT services through any Ecobank branch or with the use of any Eco bank Instrument like cheque and/or bank draft. All other banks remain acceptable,” part of the message stated.

Investigations by DigitalSENSE Business News revealed that Ecobank is having a long battle with the Internet company, which has forced the company to put a seal on bank instruments such as cheques and bank draft to name a few.

Ecobank claims to have unrivalled presence across Africa and offers financing solutions and deliver a pan-African service including Internet banking service among others.
