Women-in-ICT tackles policy implementation


The 2012 edition of Women in ICT summit would be discussing the effective implementation of governments' policies and transformational agenda through the use of ICTs.
The three-day summit, scheduled to hold between 18 and 20 September 2012 is organised by a nongovernmental organization, HighTech for Nigerian Women and Youth, a centre that empowers women and youths through ICT for development.
DigitalSENSE News learnt that the First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan and some Ministers would lead a session to discuss policies and place of women.
Other features of the summit also includes a dialogue session with members of the National Assembly, a workshop on special policy advocacy, implementation and monitoring mechanisms, driving changes through effective policy implementation and building entrepreneurship potentials of women for the transformation of the nation.
The summit would also feature the recognition of Nigeria women and youths who have been pioneers in their fields of endeavours.
