NITDA calls for M.Sc., PhD scholarship applications


The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has called on qualified Nigerians to apply for the Masters (M.Sc.) and Doctorate degree (PhD) scholarships in Information Technology related field.
The 2012/2012 of the NITDA Scholarship Scheme under the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology is open to all Nigerians across the six geopolitical zones.
The Scholarship Scheme was established in 2010 in order to fulfill NITDA’s mandate of transforming the nation to an IT driven economy while boosting global competitiveness and also bridging the digital gap.
The scholarship schemes are obtainable in either in Nigerian or Foreign universities.
DigitalSENSE News learnt that the PhD scholarship is distributed equally among the geo-political zones while the M.Sc. covers the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Eligibility for the scholarship includes M.Sc. in any IT related course for PhD and First Class or Second Class (Upper) Honours Bachelor's Degree in any IT related course for M.Sc.
Eligible candidates are to apply at scholarship.nitda.gov.ng before October 24, 2012 after which a comprehensive Aptitude Test would be taken to determine the successful candidates for the award as only eligible candidates would be invited.
