NATCOMS holds first summit, honours Obasanjo

The National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS) holds its maiden edition of subscribers' summit to discuss issues around the telecom sector as well as in recognition of President Olusegun Obasanjo’s role while in government between 1999 and 2007.
According to NATCOMS National President, Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo, the award is in acknowledgment of the former president’s effort towards the creation of an enabling environment for Telecoms Revolution in the country.
With the theme 'Nigerian Telecoms Revolution: Consumerism as the Last Mile Challenge,' the summit holding today, Friday at the MUSON Centre, Lagos.
He also hinted that all the four GSM operators, namely MTN, Airtel, Etisalat and Glo are expected to have representatives at the summit to present their individual papers on the sub-theme "Telecommunications Service Delivery and Consumerism - 10 Years After.”
The telecommunications regulatory body, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) would also talk about ‘The Consumer in the Eyes of the Regulator.’
