Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) solutions provider, WaveTek Nigeria Limited, has entered the
Nigerian market with a promise to up the game in provision of last miles
connectivity.
Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer, WaveTek Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ken Spann, said they have come to fill a
yearning gap in last mile connectivity, bandwidth, education, cloud and hosting
services as well as application integration and Information Technology (IT)
infrastructure services.
“WaveTek was established out of the
need to fill a gap in the market” he declared, stressing that Nigeria
currently lacks adequate last mile connectivity solution, which is what WaveTek
has come to bridge.
Mr. Spann said that they recently conducted a research which
revealed that excellence can work in Nigeria just like it can work in any of
the advanced countries like Germany.
According to him, data is very important in Nigeria, adding
that if there is data, the nation will get more support if there are readily
available data for the accessibility of international Non-Governmental
Organisations (NGOs).
“They will support more projects in Nigeria,” he asserted,
saying WaveTek was founded to save money for customers through affordable
services.
Mr.
Spann accompanied at the unveiling by three top management of WaveTek,
including the chief information
officer and software architect, Mr. Dapo Onawole, Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Joseph
Aborowa, and Assistant General Manager (AGM), Sales, Ms Nehita Fashe, noted
that the company banks on its super wireless fidelity.
“I am confident there is room in the
marketplace for WaveTek to operate owing to our differentiating strategy which includes
international scale, product knowledge, pricing strategy, intelligent insight, market
research, knack for success, among others,” he said, maintaining that WaveTek
has rich content to bring to education, government at all levels, and the business
segments of Nigeria.
Mr. Spann prides himself with a
wealth of experience having garnered 11 years experience at the Microsoft
Corporation at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington, with 3 out of
those years spent as the Developer Platform Evangelism Lead, Microsoft Nigeria.
