Africa: Google commences mapping of universities in Sub-saharan.

Google has commenced the mapping of all university campuses in Sub-saharan Africa.

A number of universities already mapped includes University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, Benson Idahosa University (BIU) and Ahmadu Bello University, all in Nigeria, as well as many others across Africa.

Confirming this, Evans Arabu, Google Africa Lead Africa Community Manager at a two-day conference on Map Maker in Lagos, said Google Map Maker allows you to add and update geographic information for millions of users to see in Google Maps and Google Earth.

By sharing information about the places you know, like businesses in your town or building names on your school campus, you can ensure that the map accurately reflects the world around you.

Your updates will be reviewed, and once approved, will appear online for people from all over the world to see.

Also, you can use Map Maker to make updates and improve the comprehensiveness of the areas you are familiar with in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide.
