He also said that his decision to run only for a term in office as president of NCS was made at the inception of his leadership and immediately after his election, about 24 months ago.

He insisted that he was not being pushed out, but a way of building capacity within the NCS structure for the larger benefit of the Nigerian entity.

“We shall be glad if it's implemented. Quite a lot of work has been done, including the subject on ICT parks, job fairs, incubation. So, the two years have been most fulfilling.

On local content, Aladekomo said that this could spur from development of sector-based aspect of the bill to make an impact on every sector of the economy in Nigeria, which could be achieved by placing high tariff on foreign brands.

“We need to domesticate the local content bill and we have done several presentations to the government and we will continue to advocate for it in IT industry,” he said, stressing that the main role of NCS is advocacy.

Pointing out that before now, NCS advocated for the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and once accepted or adopted it will go round the government through its agencies ministries and departments,

Aladekomo emphasized that PKI when enthroned in the system would help in dealing with identification process via the infrastructure on who is doing what, mostly in terms of committing crime.

Nigeria has done extremely well because we have been the country that make the most use of Information since these era of technology revolution.
