TECNO unveils Q1 Smartphone, offers QWERTY pad, Android 4.0

TECNO Mobile has launched its exciting, new Q1 smartphone into the Nigerian market which comes with a dual sim, dual-core processor Smartphone and runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System.
The Public Relations Manager, Techno Africa, Boukali Mounir to DigitalSENSE Business News in Lagos, explained that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, is the latest version of the Android platform for phones and tablets and builds on the things people love most about Android, such as social networking on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as easy multitasking. Also offering rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and deep interactivity.
Mounir also said that the TECNO Q1 opens up its consumers to powerful new ways of communicating and sharing.
Boasting of touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, speedy 3G connections and a 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, the Q1 assures users of faster downloads of apps and games, better call quality, streaming video and audio services, and a swift "always on" connection in addition to dual camera function.
Mounir explained that the TECNO Q1 offers users the opportunity to customize their home screen “which is a new way for you to group your apps and shortcuts logically, just by dragging one onto another. Also, in All Apps launcher, you can now simply drag an application to get information about it or immediately uninstall it, or disable a pre-installed app.”
With TECNO Q1 Android 4.0, Mounir noted that users could embed live application content directly through interactive widgets.
“Widgets let you check email, flip through a calendar, play music, check social streams, and more — right from the home screen, without having to launch apps. Widgets are resizable, so you can expand them to show more content or shrink them to save space” Mounir said.
With its unbeatable features and innovative design, the TECNO Q1 is set to pose a major threat to other Smartphones within its class in the Nigerian market.
