NDSF calls for papers on Internet Governance for Development forum 2013

The organizers of the Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum on Internet Governance for Development (IG4D), has open calls for papers and topics for the event slated for March 7-8, 2013 in Lagos. 

The Executive Director Operations, DigitalSENSE Africa Media Limited, organizers of the two-day event, Mrs. Nkemdilim Nweke, made this disclosure in Lagos, saying that papers must revolve around the main theme for the year, which is ‘Internet Governance & Cyber Security in Nigeria.’
 

According to her, the Nigeria DigitalSENSE Africa Forum on Internet Governance for Development (IG4D) has in the past five years been an avenue for stimulating multi-stakeholders’ opinion and enlightenment, thus offering the needed platform to articulate a stand on Internet Governance as well as aligning Nigeria’s position into the global Internet Governance Forum.


She also said that participants are drawn from Campuses, Community Base Organisations (CBO), Ministries, Departments and Agencies, Houses of Representatives and Senate, GSM Operators, Banks, Internet Service Providers (ISPs); to explore and discuss salient issues concerning the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector based on selected theme of the year.


Deadlines to note, she said, include that an abstracts of 200 words is expected by January 15, 2013, while the main paper is due by February 4, this year.
