Phase3 Telecom reiterates support for essay competition



Chief Executive Officer, Phase3 Telecom, Mr. Stanley Jegede has reiterated the support of his firm to for the Dickens Sanomi National Essay Writing Competition.

A press statement made available to DigitalSENSE Business News on Monday, Mr. Jegede noted that the support of Phase3, a leading broadband infrastructure provider, for the competition is borne out of the belief that education must be given the necessary support from all quarters.

He pointed out that the competition focuses on ways that road traffic accidents could be curbed and victims given better attention.

“Our support for this initiative is due to our firms conviction on the need for successful corporate bodies and individuals to give back to the society by addressing identified areas of need. We truly believe that there is an urgent need to promote educational growth in Nigeria in general and a reading culture in particular,” he said.

Jegede emphasised that Dickens Sanomi essay competition offers Nigerian youths a wonderful opportunity to develop their intellect through well researched writing on various issues in Nigeria and promote reading as well.

He stressed that the firm has been supporting the initiative for the past one year and will continue to do same in the future.

The Dickens Sanomi National Essay Writing Competition is one of the ways that Lifeline Care Association, a non-profit organization, promotes its objectives of helping road traffic accident victims nationwide.

Also speaking, the Programme Coordinator, Lifeline Care Association, Omasan Imogu, said the group was highly elated at the support that it has received from Phase3 Telecom as it had helped to promote knowledge on accident victim’s management.

“As one of our partners, Phase3 Telecom has been very supportive of our objectives and we believe that its resolve to promote education in the society through the sponsorship of this competition would certainly help to make this country a better place for us all in the future,” he said.

As said by him, a lot of education is needed in order to achieve the groups objective and it is good that a company such as Phase3 Telecom has stepped up to offer its support.
