Industry group, Indian govt disagree over 2G license price


In Indian the price of new Second Generation (2G) licenses have been described as very high by industry groups, thereby disagreeing with the government on the price hitherto.
Although the government of India has accepted to lower the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) recommended recently a base price in the upcoming auctions of between INR140 billion to INR160 billion (US$2.5 billion to US$2.9 billion) for a pan-Indian license.
